Official: It's not ok to kill gays!

This is really actually quite exciting!

The United Nations General Assembly just voted on a crucial resolution on extrajudicial executions and other unlawful killings that, for the first time, includes explicit language protecting LGBT people.

This resolution urges member states to thoroughly and promptly investigate all killings committed for any discriminatory reason, even on the basis of sexual orientation.

The vote was 93-55 with 27 abstentions.

The opposition mostly came from Arab and African nations where human rights are limited.

Last month, a General Assembly resolution opposed the unjustified killing of minority groups, including the LGBT community. It drew widespread criticism, and the United States lead the effort to amend the resolution.

First DADT goes in the US, and now this. December 2010 is really a rather good month for gay rights in the world! Go us!

Oh my!

Never been a big fan to Nasty Pig 'shredder' tops. Just don't get them. But when I saw this example of one I must admit I came over all unnecessary.

Friday Blog: Dart's Domain

Today's Friday Follow Blog is for Dart's Domain, I'm sure you can guess who he is in the picture above. He has been, and is, a very active BDSM player on the scene and on the Internet having been involved in various websites and projects over the years.

But his past work is not what inspires me, it is his current website and offerings. Rather uniquely in the Kink Blog world he posts regular Podcasts, interviews, chats and discussions with various people. Some well known such as Buck Angel or Derek da Silva, others less so - such as his own boy Scott Bryen.

It is also the writings, as well as words and images he shares. A great example of this comes from April 2010 in the post Protection. Leather and kink isn't just about sex for so many people, it is about love, relationships and lifestyles. And its so nice to find others who share their own path with others to learn from.

The Gays Are Ruining Marriage ...

So, let me get this straight - Larry King is getting his 8th divorce, Elizabeth Taylor is possibly getting married for a 9th time, Britney Spears had a 55 hour marriage. Jesse James and Tiger Woods are screwing EVERYTHING, yet the idea of same-sex marriage is going to destroy the institution of marriage?? REALLY...?
Or one of my personal faves from Whoopi Goldberg
If you don't like gay marriage. Don't marry one!

Supple Nips - For Ultimate Tit Play!

These little fuckers really are the best you can get! No redness, just plump hyper-sensitive tits!

I bought these while in the USA on my last trip, they do various sizes and colours. They are made from soft silicone, so safe with oil based lubes and you can even shove them in the dish washer if you want! Seriously, I know it costs more but silicone really is the best standard for toys - we need more silicone dildo's in the UK!

But back to these, you apply a little vaseline or lip balm to them and then put them on and suck your nipples out. The great thing with these is that you can see the difference and watch as you fill them up. They really are like portable cock pumps for your tits.

I know that there are some companies looking at making them available in the UK now. Will naturally keep you informed when I know more!!

You can see some results from about half hours play with them here. And they are comfortable enough that you can literally leave them on for hours. So if you're out at a bar / club. Or have your sub / slave tied down you can put these on to get him ready for some tit play!

Woof: Boots & Stompers

Ruff posted this note and video about the problems Stompers in SF is currently facing. Which is a real shame ... Stompers is an awesome shop, it really is heaven for any serious boot fan! You walk in and everywhere you look there are boots!!

If you can help Mike and the store that would be awesome, they both deserve it for the service they provide to the local, national and international leather communities!

And if anyone wants to help out by buying me some boots I wouldn't refuse. ;o) Stay Booted!

Dear Dr Laura (now Patti)

This is the Dr Laura e-mail for the Facebook generation I think. Nice to see the argument updated for the young ones.

On November 4, 2008 Proposition 8 passed in California, amending the state Constitution to ban same-sex marriage. The defeat provoked a groundswell of initiative within the GLBT community at a grassroots level, with many new political and protest organizations being formed in response.

The NOH8 Campaign is a photographic silent protest created by celebrity photographer Adam Bouska ( and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of Proposition 8. Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8 and similar legislation around the world, with "NOH8" painted on one cheek in protest.

Nearly two years since its inception, the NOH8 Campaign has grown to over 5,500 faces and continues to grow at an exponential rate. The campaign began with portraits of everyday Californians from all walks of life and soon rose to include politicians, military personnel, newlyweds, law enforcement, artists, celebrities, and many more.

The NOH8 Campaign has received overwhelming support from around the world, appearing on various local and national news programs and publications. The images are currently being used on various social networking sites to spread the message of equality, predominantly Facebook and Twitter. Eventually the images are expected to be compiled for a large-scale media campaign.

Sullivan's Island

My post about Treasure Island the other day reminded me of a site I saw a while back. It is that of documentary film maker Ryan Sullivan and his film "Island".

The film is all about Treasure Island Media. It's split into (at present) 53 separate episodes, all of which you can watch on his website. Paul Morris is well known for not being very well known! Oh we all know his work, his company, his 'reputation' but he is a big recluse. He doesn't do interviews, he is very rarely seen. And of course that is his choice, sometimes it means by doing that you can have a much happier life outside work.

Anyway, this documentary is fascinating to watch ... a journey, a story, one man's vision.

Of course anything associated with TIM gets knocked, there are stories about the authenticity of it all. But you know what - I don't really care. Yeah it would be great if it was all true as it is presented, but if it isn't I'll get over it and just enjoy watching it for what it is. Let's not forget there are three sides to every story! And its not as if Hollywood has ever tried to convince us a made up story was in fact true!

So if you've not seen it, here is Ryan Sullivan's Island starting at Episode 1.

Quality Hemp Rope in the UK

Rope ... one of the most useful assets in a tops toy box! It's light, its flexible, its easy to carry, you can just throw it in a bag and most importantly its very very versatile. With a few meters of rope you can do so much, so much that means your subject can do so little! ;)

But one of the problems with rope bondage is finding good rope to use. If you look at sites like BoundGods you will see that they avoid synthetic ropes, they like a lot of very experienced bondage tops prefer to get Hemp rope.

But why? What makes it so good?
  • Hemp fibres naturally lock onto each other and so make for easy tying without knots in shibari, kinbaku and other forms of bondage.
  • Hemp is quite a ‘prickly’ material which acts as a deterrent to anyone trying to escape.
  • Synthetic materials have a low ‘burn speed’, i.e. they are liable to cause a friction burn when pulled past the skin. Hemp will chafe but is less likely to burn so it’s better when for elaborate ropework.
  • Hemp has very little stretch to it so you can be sure your partner won’t find it too easy to escape!
For a long time there has been a problem in trying to get hold of it in the UK. No-one has really specialised in it, seasoning it, dying it pretty colours, and finishing it off appropriately.

That was until a few months ago when Warped Rope was started! So get yourself along there, and check them out.

Woof: Rubber

I was talking about rubber being sexy. So I thought may as well continue the theme with some rubber clad guys!

Poppers Save Lives!

After yesterdays downer of a post, today something positive.

Did you know that Poppers are actually used to help save lives! And not the new crappy ones around today I'm talking about the good stuff - Amyl Nitrate. It regularly forms part of an antidote to cyanide poisoning.

So if your a bit worried about a cyanide attack on the tube to work, or even at your local disco make sure you have the basics of your Cyanide Antidote Kit! Or at least the first essential product in protecting yourself.

Remember kids - Poppers save lives!

BB porn - the debate rages on

A good friend posted on his Facebook today a link to a blog post by Alex Hopkins. The post (HIV, Porn and Prudes: – Enough is Enough) concentrates on the current increase in HIV infection, the apparent growth in the acceptance of bareback fucking, and of course the impact bareback porn has on the HIV infection rate.

I am incredibly pro-choice, in both the right of an individual to have an abortion and in the right of an individual to choose how they have sex. I have strong interests in Leather, kink, BDSM etc ... for many that in itself is very upsetting and 'inappropriate'.

One of my strong passions and beliefs is that of personal expression and exploration. Sexuality and the experiences of your exploration of that is very individual and I don't think it is my place to judge others by what they wish to do providing they fulfil a key principle.

A leather prime-directive if you will (I have ST:TNG on at the moment) ... informed consent. All individuals must have made the decision to give it in all play / relationships and activities.

And what of Bareback porn, the guys in it are all signed up to my Leather Prime Directive. But by allowing it to be filmed and sold are they 'promoting' bareback sex? Are they actively saying this is ok to do so you can because its horny?

The argument is that bb porn promotes unsafe sex and contributes to the spread of HIV.

Isn't what the right-wing say about gays? By allowing rights we are 'promoting' homosexuality. Are we being that judgemental of our own tribe?

I think that isn't giving people enough credit to think for themselves. We aren't talking to children here, we are talking to grown men who need to make their own decisions.

Often people say they prefer porn from companies such as TIM, Dick Wadd because it's much hornier then that of other 'condom' porn companies.

I'm not sure that it is the fact that it is bareback that makes it hornier ... it's just better!! These studios put hot and horny guys together who fuck like animals, they aren't 'scripted', they aren't 'acted', they aren't produced and directed to an inch of their life. They are just horny guys doing what comes naturally! Raw animal fucking and sucking ... without the fifteen minute blowjob scene where most of the guys look bored senseless.

Look at the Bound Gods stuff, Shotgun Video, Rough line ... these are some of the horniest shoots, because they are good. Guys who know what they are doing and are exploring their interests.

Everything we do in life is about risk, and personally I think that bareback sex is just a risk too far. Not just for HIV, but all the other STI's that you can pick up. Stopping for a few seconds to put on a condom doesn't 'kill' the moment or sensation, it doesn't make it any less horny, it just makes it safer. And makes sure you don't have to spend the rest of your life taking a pharmacy of drugs and all the side effects associated with them.

Even when you are in a fluid-bonded relationship where you only fuck bb with one partner there is risk. And most people accept that risk, its just that for others they are happier to accept a greater risk.

So what am I trying to say? If you fuck about get covered up, and instead of blaming porn companies lets actually concentrate our efforts on working out why infection rates are going up and address that!

On the back:Your even more the man I love. Don't ever doubt it.
