Cymraeg Ddreigiau

I'm currently back home in the beautiful father land of Wales where I grew up. And there are two things welshmen are proud of ... the singing (Calon Lan is one of my all time fave songs) and Rugby. Now I've never been much of a follower of sport, but something I have discovered a particular fondness for are rugby players!

And now they seem to wear very tight fitting shirts and shorts, well I'm certainly not complaining!

Tonight on the news the sports section covered some of the weekends matches ... fantastic! And I also discovered something else tonight - if you like pics of rugby players getting a bit muddy, well the Welsh Rugby Pics website may be right up your street!

And of course lets not forget the best team in Rugby ... the good old Welsh boys! I think this year I may well need to buy myself a welsh rugby shirt.

Friday Blog: Slave Art

Today is that most special of days, Christmas Day! It is also Friday, and since this is the 2nd Friday since I started my Follow Friday Blog I couldn't really miss it out.

But because it is such a special day I thought I'd choose a special blog. One that I really enjoy reading, one that I feel some sort of connection to. I've had a look through many blogs these past few weeks trying to decide - educational, hot as fuck porn blogs, personal journeys and all sorts in between.

But for this week's Follow Friday Blog I have chosen on the first kinky blogs I started following ... Slave Art.

Art describes himself as "just your typical slave next door living a 24/7/365 Dominant / submissive lifestyle with his Master." his blog talks about his interest in RP gaming, beatings by his Master, trips away and discussion on polls he posts about BDSM relationships.

There is a great comment on an entry about a time away from his Master at a gaming convention. The commitment to his Master, T/their lifestyle choice and for me (though never having met or even talked to him) his personality:
"Even though my Master wasn’t there, old habits die hard. There were several times when i was walking with friends that i found myself falling behind and to the right. There was also a meal or two where it took me a while to realize that i didn’t have to wait for permission to start eating."
I hope Art continues to share with us and gets as much pleasure writing as I and we get from reading. And of course since he "no rights or possessions" I must also extend my appreciation to his Master for allowing Art to give us glimpse of a part of his life.

Folsom Care Bears

I totally missed these, but apparently they were on a wall at Folsom Street. Love them! Can I have them all to take home?

Condom but no lube?

I just found this posted in the blog of the incredibly hot Samuel Colt and just had to share!

He Is a Homosexual!

I'm so pleased about this, former Wales and British Lions Rugby Captain has come out and admitted he too is a big homosexual just like us! Hurrah!! I think it is a great when high profile pro sports players do come out, even more so when they are Rugby players! Just a shame he felt unable to do so while he was Captain, but still think it's awesome that he has.

And of course the fact that, like me, he is a proud Welshman is just even better!

I wonder if he fancies a night out at XXL Birmingham with me? ;)

Merry Xmas from Master-U

The best leather and bondage manufacturer / supplier in London is having a rather nice Christmas give away. But it is the Christmas tree dildo here that I thought was utterly inspired!

Friday Blog: MetalBond

Over on twitter there is a #FollowFriday tradition where you suggest people to follow your followers may be interested in. I've picked up a few interesting ones, and I thought I'd bring that tradition here to my blog with a Friday Blog.

So I'm going to try each Friday to bring you a blog suggestion, some will come from my own Blogroll here but I'm also going to try and find some others that you may not have seen. Naturally they will be kinky, pervy, leather or wooftastic related ... I'm not all of a sudden going to link in a Martha Stewart's Greatest Fan blog, that's just got to be a hard-limit even for the most hard-core torture pig surely!

Today's, the first Friday Blog, was a hard one to decide on ... I had to look at a lot of blogs with a lot of hot naked, leather clad guys - it was hard work! But I think MetalBond's is an amazing read, a real mix of porn, bondage, reviews, stories and just great stuff! Definitely someone to keep an eye on. So please go check him out ...

Always just liked this picture, the fact that you see so little is what makes it so erotic. Porn doesn't have to be all about cocks!

Leather Hall of Fame 2010 Inductees

The Board of Governors of the Leather Hall of Fame (LHOF) is pleased to announce the 2010 inductees: The Satyrs MC; Tony DeBlase; and Frank Olson/Don Morrison (elected as a couple).

The Satyrs MC was founded in 1954 in Los Angeles and is the longest continuously running gay organization in America, leather or otherwise. The Satyrs was formed by leather-clad bikers interested in sex during an era when that sort of sexual expression often resulted in arrest. From the beginning, the Satyrs rode to national parks for camping and sex with men, and they still host their annual Badger Flat Run, now in its 49th year. Many clubs and organizations around the world can trace some part of their roots back to the Satyrs or the bylaws they adopted back in 1954. Member of the Satyrs stood up to the Los Angeles Police Department’s raids of the 70’s, eventually resulting in the end of those raids and entrapments. The Satyrs continue to be a very active club with as bright a future as they have a notorious past.

Frank Olson and Don Morrison were among the most important founders of the leather scene in New York City. They were famous for many parties, at that time the major leather social events, both in New York City and on Fire Island. Frank was the principal person behind the opening of the Eagle’s Nest, for many years New York’s premier leather bar. During the World’s Fair that took place in New York in 1964/5, the NYPD kept closing gay bars, including the leather bars. Frank kept finding new places as old ones were closed, leading the community like Moses through the social wilderness, until the police pressure abated. He was also a founding member of the gay bike club scene in New York. Frank and Don are still together and living in Pennsylvania.

Tony DeBlase was perhaps the most transformational figure in the history of the leather community. He developed the contest and demonstration schedule at the Chicago Hellfire Club’s Inferno, and he helped export those lessons to other, less experienced SM clubs. He was the Founding publisher of DungeonMaster magazine, the best and most extensive published source of SM technique, much of it written by DeBlase himself. He was the publisher of Drummer magazine during its peak years from 1986-1992. He was a co-founder of the Leather Archives & Museum where he served as an officer and developed the Leather History Time Lines. He wrote leather fiction under the name Fledermous, and was a frequent lecturer and workshop leader. In 1989 he designed the Leather Pride Flag. He won multiple awards and was a mentor to many. Tony died in July, 2000.

The three runners up in the 2010 voting were publisher/writer/filmmaker Leonard Burtman, New York scene pioneer Bob Milne, and Mr. S. founder Alan Selby.

LHOF was formed to honor and preserve the legacy of the extraordinary men and women who have significantly impacted and shaped the history of the Leather/BDSM communities worldwide since 1950. By publicly acknowledging and honoring those individuals, it is LHOF’s mission to preserve the history of our communities, to pay respect to the leaders and trailblazers who came before us, and to establish a permanent and unbiased resource for anyone interested in leather culture to learn about the people who built its foundations and guided its evolution. The Board of Governors of the LHOF represents a diverse, pansexual cross-section of the some of the leather community’s most widely-respected and longest-standing academics and activists. LHOF has gone to great pains to insure that the internal voting process is confidential, professional and free of politics or cliquishness. Nominations can be made by anyone in the community. The chief criterion for eligibility is that nominees have made substantial contributions to BDSM/leather dating back at least 15 years. Nominations are accepted throughout the year at The annual deadline for nominations is October 15th. The Board of Governors carefully evaluates all nominations and selects three inductees each year. Nominations that are not selected are carried over to be considered the following year.

The initial focus is on the earliest pioneers of our community. The LHOF’s first three inductees (2009) were Tom of Finland (Touko Laaksonen), the prolific artist whose stylized homoerotic art had a profound effect on gay and leather culture; Chuck Renslow, founder of the Chicago’s legendary Gold Coast bar, International Mr. Leather, the Leather Archives & Museum, and dozens of other projects; and artist John Willie, a major figure in the development of the imagery and culture of heterosexual and lesbian BDSM in the mid twentieth century. Learn more about our first three inductees at

The Leather Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies will be held at CLAW 9 at the Wyndham Hotel in Cleveland, OH on Sunday, April 25, 2010. We invite all leather people to join us to celebrate and honor the lives and accomplishments of these great inductees. Find out more and order your tickets now at

New York Red Ribbon Count

So today on our last day in NYC we spent it wandering around the East Village, a bit of Chelsea and Greenwich Village. All fairly gay areas ... and I counted all the red ribbons I saw today....

Please, count them with me - one.

And I'm being generous here ... that was the one I was wearing.

IMrL 2010 - Hotel Booked!

I've just booked my hotel room for International Mr Leather 2010 in Chicago! Hopefully I'll get to meet and maybe even play with some lovely people! Can't wait!!

World Aids Day

Where have all the ribbons gone? That is the headline article of the December issue of New Yorks Next Magazine (free Gay Guide to NYC). But before I get onto that, do you know how the ribon came to be?

AIDS Awareness Origin

The Red Ribbon Project was created by the New York-based Visual AIDS Artists Caucus in 1991:
  1. Remain anonymous as individuals and to credit the Visual AIDS Artists Caucus as a whole in the creation of the Red Ribbon Project, and not to list any individual as the “creator” of the Red Ribbon Project;
  2. Keep the image copyright free, so that no individual or organization would profit from the use of the red ribbon;
  3. The Red Ribbon should be used as a consciousness raising symbol, not as a commercial or trademark tool.

The artists who formed the Visual AIDS Artists Caucus wished to create a visual symbol to demonstrate compassion for people living with AIDS and their caregivers. Inspired by the yellow ribbons honoring American soldiers serving in the Gulf war, the color red was chosen for its, "connection to blood and the idea of passion -- not only anger, but love, like a valentine." First worn publicly by Jeremy Irons at the 1991 Tony Awards, the ribbon soon became renowned as an international symbol of AIDS awareness, becoming a politically correct fashion accessory on the lapels of celebrities. The Red Ribbon continues to be a powerful force in the fight to increase public awareness of HIV/AIDS and in the lobbying efforts to increase funding for AIDS services and research.

So, where have all the ribbons gone?

When I was back in college World AIDS Day was a big thing for the union, and we had a lot of activities, awareness campaigns and fund-raising going on. So many students would be seen wearing them around campus.

Once I'd left the college and in future jobs I always continued that tradition. On 1st December I would always go to work in s black suit, black shirt and tie with my ribbon on my lapel. Over the years I noticed something ... there were less and less around each year.

This year I have seen or heard very little in the way of events or awareness for WAD. One of my fave clubs XXL is having a fund-raiser over the weekend for local HIV/AIDS organisations, but to be honest I doubt most of the people going really care either way.

One thing I do remember reading some time ago was the assumption that we don't need to be so worried now days because with modern meds its not an issue and there is a cure anyway. Seriously ... some people associate adverts from pharmaceautical companies with being a cure.

I'm 33 from a small town in North Wales ... while I have friends who are HIV+ I am lucky enough to be just young enough to have avoided the experiences of a lot of older generations of the gay community that was ravaged by HIV/AIDS. But I am also old enough to remember the adverts and start of it ... the days before combination therapy etc.

Maybe this is part of the problem, kids today just don't realise or maybe even care - they have become bored of the adverts and lecturing. I can point you to countless blogs of barebacking fans. Guys who are fully aware of the consequences of their actions but choose to take the risks.

This is a huge problem, and one that I'm not sure can be easily rectified. AIDS Awareness and Red Ribbons have had their celebrity 15mins of fame and endorsement - the shallow world of celebrity can't "go back" to something, it has to find a new cause every year / few years.

Hopefully next year there will be more ribbons. One thing I do know is that there will be enough of us out there ensuring that there are ribbons and awareness and support!

Well it seems like November I have been wearing a virtual gag for most it, very quiet here. Unfortunately this isn't really the case, I am just so busy with work at the moment! Mad busy at times ... but this is good as when your self employed mad busy pays the bills!

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

Shopping: DungoenBeds are Go!

Good news!! are still alive and well ... they must have had some sort of glitch with the hosting / website. But i'm so pleased to see them going again - not that I could afford the bed I want - $4,000 before shipping! And thats $350 to the domestic US ... so I'm guessing at least $1,000 to the UK.

Which is a real shame as I would love one of these in the spare room.

Woof: Ink

A recommendation from the bf that I may like these. Absolutely!!

I sat down to right a post about the clashes and frustrations of having a huge kink / perv interest but also a really low sex-drive.

The ironic thing is ... sat down and lost all interest and couldn't be bothered. Will do it over the next few days.

Masters and slave relationships: Part 1

In May this year there was a book published called "Ask The Man Who Owns Him" by david stein with David Schachter which I mentioned a few posts back. While in San Francisco for Folsom I finally managed to pick up a copy - signed by one of the authors no less. It has been an amazing read, incredibly informative and very inspirational. And hopefully, and this is maybe a phrase used too often too easily, life-changing for me. And when I say that I don't say it lightly or in passing, but with all the seriousness, respect and authority such a statement requires.

But first, the following is a superb quote from one of the authors describing an outlook on life, and one that I really connected with and feel we all should consider. I know I intend on following it:
"I'll probably live for about 30,000 days. Any one of them in which I don't learn something is a wasted day."
- Introduction by David Snatcher (p15)
Reading the book has really helped me focus on my own desires as, or rather to become, an owned slave, the property of my Master. I have always been very submissive naturally and always happiest when helping / serving others in some way. By always I mean this goes right back to primary school - if there was an opportunity to help out a teacher or at an event I would do it. Events that required me to work as a gofer were often some of the best ones. And I would do it for two reasons, firstly I usually enjoyed it but most importantly ... it pleased the person I was doing it for.

Part of me has occasionally wondered if this is why I went into IT Support rather than development - to be at the service of others. It certainly wasn't a conscious decision as such but maybe that is the heart of a slave in me that I hadn't recognised until recently.
“A slave is an individual born with a slave spirit. No one can make someone have this spirit; nothing can be done to create this state in an individuals being. No one trying hard or wishing for this sense of spirit can develop it within themselves, and no Master can cause it to occur. slaves are extraordinary human beings who are born with this slave spirit - as much as they are born to breathe or have gifted talents for design or music.”
- Heart of a slave, Master Steve (p230)
I have had an interest, fascination and drawing to kinky / BDSM sexual practices for a long time. One of my strongest and earliest moments of sexual awakening happened many years ago in my teens late one night in my bed at home watching a film on TV. This would have been a very late night film on either BBC2 or Channel 4 that I'd have watched with the volume barely audible for fear my brother or parents hearing.

I have no idea what the film was called, who was in it or what it was really about. What I do remember about it is this – I think the lead guy was having an affair, he met a woman in a bar / motel somewhere and then started having sex with the woman in a motel room. I can't remember how it was introduced to the story but she then handcuffed him to the bed. The following morning he then had both handcuffs locked around one wrist … meaning he had carry on the road trip with her. These few moments of this film are some of the earliest erotic memories I have. They are by far the strongest of all memories of my sexual awakening. I was just so drawn to the bondage, the humiliation, the inability of escape and requirement to follow.

For a lot of people once they have access to the Internet in their own homes start off doing the same thing. Working out what the hell it is and how to use it – what's e-mail and how do you find stuff on Google? Not long after working out how to navigate they start looking for porn and sex!

And who can blame them … sex and porn are great!!

About ten years ago I was working for my local HE college in their IT department, and one of the privileges we had in IT was Dial-Up internet access from home. But better than that, since we controlled the system used for dialling in we used Callback! I would dial up to the server; it would authenticate my login and then disconnect me. And then call me back so that I could stay online for however long I wanted and not have to pay for the phone bill!!

While not officially 'Out' at this stage my interests in kink were growing … I was already looking at leather, bondage, BDSM sites and porn. Leather Navigator was an amazing site – and one that I sadly miss. Sites such as lthredge’s homepage were a directory full of great kink and play sites to explore.

So this isn't something that is new to me, it is something I've always wanted to explore.
But first of all, there is of course one critical question to answer about any M/s relationships. What is a slave? Master Rick (p124) makes a very good comment about this:
“So many people use the term 'slave' casually. To them it means the porno they saw with the loud music and a guy who yanks them in the door and calls them 'a piece of shit' or whatever, and they have mad passionate sex, and then they go away. That's great, too, but its not for me”
- Master Rick on (p124)
First of all there has to be a separation of scene / lifestyle. A scene can be with someone you just hooked up with online, met at a bar, a regular fuck buddy or your kinky boyfriend / husband / husbear. While in that scene you may be the bottom / boy / sub / slave / pup or you may be the Top / Daddy / Dom / Master / Trainer. You may even switch roles between or during a scene.
A scene could be a good old fashioned kinky fuck / play session – irrelevant of whether or not the players are in a M/s lifestyle relationship, with the other or someone else.

For some slavery is just limited to play spaces. Whether it is in bed, a dedicated playroom / dungeon, a club, a bar or at a fetish event. They describe their relationship as M/s but only really explore those roles from within these times.

Of course all of these are completely valid relationships and descriptions; the most important aspect in any of this is commitment, communication and understanding. For a lot of people exploring M/s play is about exploring your own sexuality, those of others and being open to new forms of sexual adventure and pleasure.

And then comes the separation of porn, fantasy and reality.

To be continued in Part 2 ...

Mister Marcus

Mister Marcus
1932 - 2009

Most people outside the US leather scene won't have a clue who this is. But its Mister Marcus, the queen of leather columnists in the US. Whenever in San Francisco I would pick up a copy of the Bay Area Reporter and turn to his column to see what was happening in the world of leather. I know how much he was loved and respected by many in SF, and the American leather scene - he was always at IML to make a speech / announce finalists and I am sure they will recognise his passing next may.

Hopefully one day the UK may recognise such a person for their regular column on the leather scene here ... one day, maybe.
The cause of death was complications from diabetes and arteriosclerosis. Mr. Hernandez was known to his legions of readers by his pen name "Mister Marcus" and dubbed the "dean of leather columnists." His weekly columns of contest goings-on and gossip were a must-read for leather community leaders, titleholders, and newcomers alike for 38 years. Mr. Hernandez had been hospitalized since the summer, when his health condition worsened. He was surrounded by friends at the time of his death; one of his sons had traveled from North Carolina to be at his bedside earlier this week. "Mr. Marcus has been a San Francisco institution for decades," said B.A.R. publisher Thomas E. Horn. "He unapologetically brought his message of pride for the LGBT community in general and his beloved leather community in particular not only to San Francisco but to all the United States and even the world.
